Two stories by Dog’s Life feature writer Kyra Kirkwood, “Adoption is the New Black” and “Prison Pups,” won Honorable Mentions from The HSUS Genesis Awards. This special awards show pays tribute to the news and entertainment media for producing works that raise public awareness of animal issues. Will be held March 20, 2010 at The Beverly Hilton.
